Hanover/Bonn. Both events have the goal of advancing the change of transport in urban areas and both events are about the future of mobility. Now, micromobility expo with the topics of micromobiles and light vehicles, mobility infrastructures as well as mobility services and futurEmobility with information on possible applications and conditions of use for e-mobility are joining forces and will be launching together in Hannover from 19 to 21 May 2022.

"futurEmobility is a perfect addition to the micromobility expo programme. It underlines the great importance of electric, emission-free and low-noise locomotion and will give new impetus to the mobility of the future," says Florian Eisenbach, Project Manager of micromobility expo at Deutsche Messe AG.

For Johannes Haas, Managing Director of visionE GmbH, the organiser of futurEmobility, the integration into micromobility expo is also a profitable step in the right direction: "We have the same ideas, the same visions of the future and address the same target groups. Moreover, we both cooperate closely with the Bundesverband eMobilität (BEM). Therefore, it is only logical to organise futurEmobility in Hanover together with micromobility expo."

The later date also suits futurEmobility. "Originally, futurEmobility was to take place in Bonn from 25 to 27 March 2022. Unfortunately, we would not have been able to realise this due to the pandemic. With the new date from 19 to 21 May, we are giving the participating companies and guests at the event greater planning security," adds Haas.

The exhibition programme of futurEmobility includes a wide range of electric vehicles of different classes. Both current models and innovative prototypes will be on display. Lectures, discussions and workshops on the topic of e-mobility complement the programme. Various e-vehicles such as scooters, e-scooters (mopeds) and xycles can be tried out on the micromobility expo course.

About micromobility expo

The micromobility expo is an annual, three-day event on the topics of micromobiles & light vehicles, mobility infrastructures and mobility services. The event in Hanover consists of a conference, exhibition and test track. It sees itself as a platform for the mobility of the future, presents the latest solutions, applications and trends in micromobility and aims to drive forward the transport revolution in urban areas. After the premiere in 2019 and the online-only event in 2020, micromobility expo 2022 will again be held as a presence trade fair with digital elements from 19 to 21 May. The first two days of the event will be reserved for trade visitors, and on Saturday, 21 May the fair will open its doors to private visitors as well. Partners of the micromobility expo are the IZT - Institute for Futures Studies and Technology Assessment in Berlin and the Metropolitan Region Hannover Braunschweig Göttingen Wolfsburg.
