micromobility expo, Hannover (May 19, 2022)

micromobility expo 2022 as a compact, one-day trade conference

- New location in Technology Academy
- Seven hours of concentrated information
- Synergies with Real Estate Arena taking place at the same time

Hannover (24.03.2022). The micromobility expo is adapting to the current situation in the market and in politics and is being staged this year as a compact, one-day trade conference. Deutsche Messe as the organizer is relocating, focusing on trade visitors and mobility experts and condensing the program: instead of taking place under the expo's wooden roof, the platform for micromobility will now be held at the Technology Academy. On Thursday, May 19, the micromobility expo offering will deliver a strong conference program with compact information on all aspects of the much-discussed traffic turnaround in urban areas.

"Instead of the test track around the Hermes Tower, this year we are moving the discussion around new mobility concepts to the center of the event," emphasizes Florian Eisenbach, project manager of micromobility expo at Deutsche Messe. "The focus on business topics fits the current mood and the situation in the market. We are also taking advantage of the synergies with the neighboring Real Estate Arena and can thus sharpen our own range of topics."

The relocation of micromobility expo to the Technology Academy brings the event closer to the Real Estate Arena, which takes place at the same time in Hall 23. Visitors to micromobility expo will thus also have the opportunity to find out about the mobility of the future from the perspective of real estate and neighborhood development and urban planning at the meeting place for the real estate industry.

The micromobility expo conference program shows how micromobility innovations can drive the mobility turnaround. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. it will present how urban logistics and new transport concepts with micromobiles and micro-vehicles are helping to meet the current challenges in terms of flexibility, climate protection and social participation: How do I create attractive living space for all road users? How do I remain flexible and protect the environment?

micromobility expo is aimed at trade visitors from industry, fleet management, public administration and politics. The main target groups are urban developers, mobility planners and decision-makers from companies, municipalities and local authorities.

Partners of the micromobility expo are the IZT - Institute for Futures Studies and Technology Assessment in Berlin as well as the Metropolitan Region Hannover Braunschweig Göttingen Wolfsburg.
