  • Hanover (11.05.2022). Micromobility expo is ready to go. When the doors open on May 19 at the Technology Academy on the Hannover Exhibition Grounds, trade visitors can expect a concentrated load of current conference topics, packed with information and discussions, as well as groundbreaking products and solutions relating to micromobiles, light vehicles, mobility infrastructures and services.

All topics for the mobility turnaround in urban areas
A total of 45 speakers from business, science and politics are contributing to the conference program. The topics describe all the aspects that are necessary to be able to implement the mobility turnaround in urban areas: from the mobility of the future and diversity and equality on the roads to micromobility in cities and in logistics to digital technologies as the key to a sustainable transport turnaround.

Keynote by mobility expert Katja Diehl and opening panel with Lord Mayor Belit Onay.
A highlight of the opening program is sure to be the stirring keynote address by mobility expert and author of the book "Autokorrektur" Katja Diehl. According to Diehl, a fundamentally new concept is needed in which mobility is no longer defined by the car, but by people and their needs. Everyone should have the right to live a life without a car.

The "new mobility" is also one of the core topics in urban planning and design. Belit Onay, Lord Mayor of the City of Hanover, is another opening speaker at micromobility expo. In his opinion, micromobility and its application scenarios in inner-city areas can make an important contribution to modern and resource-saving mobility concepts.

Discussions with a change of perspective
The panelists of the five thematic panels come from different areas and report from their respective perspectives. Among others, representatives of the metropolitan region Hannover Braunschweig Göttingen Wolfsburg, the IZT - Institute for Futures Studies and Technology Assessment in Berlin, the ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club), enercity, the TU Berlin, the state capital Wiesbaden, the DLR (German Aerospace Center), the BEM (Bundesverband eMobilität) and the ÜSTRA Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe.

Companies such as eScootee, ONgineer, Voi Technology, Bird Rides, INTIS Integrated Infrastructure Solutions, Onomotion, shareX Mobility, ARI Motors, Hub2Go, ElectricFeel, and TIER Mobility will present their position from a manufacturer and provider perspective.

    Exhibits in fast forward
At the end of the conference, there will be a quick run-through. Then micromobility expo exhibitors will present their products and solutions for innovative and sustainable mobility in three-minute pitches on stage.

Groundbreaking products and solutions for the transportation revolution
In addition to the micromobility-expo conference, around 30 exhibiting companies will be showing in and in front of the Technology Academy which products and solutions are making the mobility revolution possible in the city and in rural areas. The range of products on display extends from electric cargo scooters and mopeds in retro design to networked mobility and creative charging infrastructures to hybrid e-bikes and low-maintenance cargo bikes.

Visit to the Real Estate Arena included in the ticket
Another note: Visitors to micromobility expo can also use their ticket to visit the Real Estate Arena in Hall 23, which is taking place at the same time.
