Hannover. The micromobility expo goes into the summer. Due to current developments around Covid-19 (coronavirus), Deutsche Messe is postponing the event to 27 to 29 August 2020. micromobility expo celebrated its premiere last year. The second edition of the trade fair for micromobility, mobility infrastructures and services was originally scheduled from 14 to 16 May 2020.
"Following last year's successful premiere, the new date allows our exhibitors to present their products, innovations and services for micromobility and mobility infrastructures before the end of the year and to generate new business," says Dr. Andreas Gruchow, member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Messe AG in Hannover.
Around 3,000 visitors came to the exhibition centre at the beginning of May 2019 to find out about the new urban trends in increasingly electrically powered mobility "for the last mile". The micromobility expo brings the industry and users together to promote micromobility in society. " With the micromobility expo we want to send out very clear signals in the direction of an urgently needed traffic turnaround, especially in urban areas, and discuss the future possibilities of inter- or multimodality, present solution providers in the exhibition area and provide a live experience on our last mile course," says Gruchow.
The format, consisting of exhibition, conferences and test tracks, shows the possible uses of micro-mobiles, the infrastructure measures required and what a traffic concept of the future could look like. The first two event days on Thursday and Friday are reserved exclusively for experts from industry, administration and politics. The Saturday of the trade fair will also be open to end consumers with an extensive programme.
